Jim brings managerial, start-up, operating, financial and investing experience to his role as CEO, Chairman and Founder of Jushi. Prior to founding Jushi, Jim spent over two decades managing the business and allocating capital in senior management positions at several large hedge funds; two of which were early stage success stories. Jim is Co- Founder and Managing Partner of One East Partners (US$2.3 billion (peak AUM)). Previously, Jim served as President and Co-Portfolio Manager of Sandell Asset Management (US$5.5 billion (peak AUM)) and Head of Distressed Debt for Halcyon Management, a global investment firm with over US$9 billion in assets. Jim has significant experience in private equity and operating several enterprises at the Board and management levels, including in the financial services, technology, chemicals and consumer/leisure industries. Jim earned his BA from Colgate University and his MBA from Harvard University.
Jon brings extensive financial and cannabis industry investing experience (both public and private) to his role as President and Founder of Jushi. Jon spent over ten years in investments at various hedge funds, including five years at One East Capital Advisors where he focused on cannabis investments. Jon earned his BA from Princeton University and his JD/MBA from Northwestern University.
Michelle brings over 20 years of financial leadership experience to Jushi across several consumer-facing industries, including consumer packaged goods, global manufacturing, as well as food and beverage packaging. Most recently, she served as the Chief Financial Officer for Hamilton Beach Brands Holding Company (NYSE: HBB), a leading designer, marketer, and distributor of a wide range of branded small electric household and specialty housewares appliances, as well as commercial products. Prior to her time at Hamilton Beach, she held a number of executive leadership and finance roles, notably as Controller for Reynolds Group Holdings Limited, and Chief Financial Officer of Reynolds Consumer Products (NASDAQ: REYN). She began her career in the audit practice of Coopers & Lybrand, now PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where she was admitted into the partnership in 1998.
Tobi brings extensive legal and human resources expertise to Jushi. Tobi served as the Associate General Counsel of KLX Inc. (formerly KLXI), where she played pivotal roles in the sale of its aerospace segment to Boeing for $4.25B and the spin-off of its energy segment into a new, publicly traded company (KLXE). Tobi earned her BS from University of Florida and JD from University of Florida – Frederic G. Levin College of Law. Tobi holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources certification.
Ryan brings extensive cannabis operations experience to his role as EVP of Operations at Jushi. Before joining Jushi, Ryan founded The Clinic™ and served as COO the last 10 years overseeing all aspects of day-to-day operations including oversight of all retail, cultivation and manufacturing facilities. His background in commercial real estate and development has been crucial in the management of all construction activities. Ryan earned his degree from the University of Colorado in the School of Architecture and Planning.
Matt brings invaluable cannabis industry legal expertise to his role as EVP, Legal Affairs at Jushi. Before joining Jushi, Matt served as General Counsel at The Green Solution, one of Colorado’s largest cannabis companies, and its related entities. Matt earned his BS in Civil Engineering from the University of South Florida and earned his JD from Florida State University College of Law.
Dre brings over three decades of advertising, entertainment, and technology experience to his role as Chief Creative Director. Before joining Jushi, Dre served as Creative Director and Head of Content for Idean, a leading global design agency, and was instrumental in building out Idean’s US footprint with key clients such as IBM, HP, Rolls Royce and Ericsson. Dre is also known for his photography and has worked with people/groups like Queens of the Stone Age, Iggy Pop, Foo Fighters, ZZ Top, and Lenny Kravitz.
Shaunna brings extensive commercial experience to her role as Chief Commercial Director. She has demonstrated success across a diverse background of roles, product categories, and business models in the consumer product goods space. Her history includes key leadership roles in Sales and Marketing, Sales Operations and Strategy, and Category Management for companies such as Anheuser-Busch InBEV, The Hershey Company, and JUUL Labs, as well as mid-level private equity food companies. She has significant experience in the planning and development of commercial teams and strategies through various stages of growth. Shaunna is a graduate of the University of Iowa.
Trent brings singular strategic planning and strong business acquisition and cannabis development experience to his role as Chief Strategy Director at Jushi. Trent formerly served as President of TGS National Holdings (an affiliate of The Green Solution), as well as COO at American Cannabis Company, where he worked with his clients to win state cannabis licenses. Trent earned his BS in finance from Miami University.
